About the Club

Shevington Sharks strive to give individuals in the local area an opportunity to play sport, stay healthy and be part of a friendly team. The Club is passionate about increasing participation, both in Rugby League and in general sports within the local area.

Their motto is “Working in the community, for the community and with the community.”

Why are Riverside Sponsoring Shevington Sharks?

We have sponsored Shevington Sharks for the past two years, helping to provide some of the resources necessary to keep the Club thriving on and off the field..

Our reason for sponsoring the Sharks is the strong connection our owners have with the club, along with many of our staff that have played rugby for the Sharks over the last 20 years.

Not only have we helped support them through our sponsorship, some of our staff have gone on to coach the Junior teams, recognising the importance of supporting the development of homegrown talent.

Shevington FC

About the Club

Shevington FC is a small family club on the outskirts of Wigan, operating 12 teams. The Club can be traced back to 1904, playing in local churches league football and to this day continues to offer young people the opportunity to be part of a team and play sports.

Why are Riverside Sponsoring Shevington FC?

We have sponsored Shevington FC for the last 6 months, helping them to thrive on the pitch. and perform at their very best.

Our reason for sponsoring Shevington FC is once again because of the connection our owners and staff have with the Club. We find it incredibly important to support our local football team and young players in the local area.

Riverside has agreed to continue supporting both clubs for the foreseeable future.
